Come with me...

"... if you want to live." Silver here having a Terminator moment while trying to save Tiara Boobowski from something. xD

This is a pairing idea I've been wanting to work with for a while now. I have in mind for a story involving these two interacting in an alternate X-Treme-based storyline, where Silver travels back in time for reasons relating to the DOOM Virus. In the process he's required to save Tiara from something. I'll probably do another picture later of him protecting her from Mecha Sonic Mrk. II, just for the sake of using another X-Treme concept while making it more of a Terminator parody. xD But yeah, while I've wanted to draw them together for a while, I was only inspired to draw them after seeing this cute picture: [link]

This was rather fun sketching out, again I'm trying to work more with higher resolution drawing. Sketching it out wasn't too bad, mostly a case of trying to draw them together without there being too much of a stark contrast in style, given Silver's a Modern character, and Tiara is Classic. I tried to make it a bit more apparent in their size too. Even though Silver's not that much bigger, I wanted to show that in the story, it takes place a few years before the present timeline where he normally appears. So Tiara would be a bit younger too (she'd be like, 11 here).

I also wanted to show a bit of role-reversal and showing how the characters could perceive others based on different circumstances. In particular, since Silver is interacting with a character who is much younger and from an earlier time period, he would look so much more mature and responsible in comparison from her perspective, while from a modern day Sonic or Shadow's perspective, he would look childish and naiive. He also looks much more presentable when he's trying to protect someone, rather than foolishly trying to assassinate. Likewise for Tiara, normally she would be tomboy-ish and tough, but in coming in contact with the older and more skillful hedgehog, she would be more in awe and admiration of his stern demeanor.

But yeah, had a lot of fun with it. After I finished the sketch I was going to do a clean piece of art like I did my Sally and Honey picture, but I was feeling impatient and wanted to paint. But working out the colours got frustrating, so I ended up working in a grey monotone, which didn't take that long at all to do. Thankfully it looked alright in the end! Also, I played around with Tiara's design a bit, working mostly with the "final" design, while blending in differences in the gameplay animation featuring her. There she has what seems to be arm warmers and longer boots.
