Oliga the Destroyer (The Ifrit)

Hey there everyone, long time no see! It's been quite some time since I posted anything up here, feels good to get back into the groove of things. Been in a huge art slump these past few months, but slowly getting back into it I'm rekindling my enjoyment for drawing.

Anyway, on with the show! This here is Oliga the Destroyer, a later incarnation of one of my previous deviations, Oliga the Naiive: [link]. Continuing on from the character description in the Oliga the Naiive submission, she is a post-06 incarnation of Blaze the Cat. In this form, she will be forming the last of the trio of "Team Legacy" along with Core and Ark.

Regarding her storyline, this design comes into play after a series of events in my Sonic Legacy storylines, much like my previous Ark and Core storylines. In Sonic Legacy: 10 Years Later, she is an important key element in a scheme by the enemy to bring Solaris back into existence due to having a fragment if Iblis integrated into her soul. Oliga is soon sacrificed in order to forcefully extract Iblis from her merged consciousness. On the flip side, in Sonic Expanse, I include a key detail regarding the Ifrit from Sonic Rivals. The Ifrit in Expanse is revealed to be a facet of Oliga's subconsciousness that exists in a separate dream realm within the Maginaryworld, the Chaotic Inferno Zone (a manifestation of her Iblis consciousness).

In the series of events leading up to Oliga the Destroyer's incarnation, the Ifrit in particular is used in a scheme against Chaos (the Ifrit in canon being a predator towards the Chao, and in turn a natural enemy to Chaos). From this key point, after Oliga's death the Master Emerald chooses her as a herald, bringing her back to life through the remains of the Ifrit in the form of the new "Goddess of Destruction", allowing Chaos to retire from his duties (also important to note that she was de-aged in the process of her reincarnation). After these events, Oliga along with Ark and Core form Team Legacy together.

Anyways, the story is a bit confusing to explain at present, since it's late and I'm hella tired. But at least you can enjoy some new art in any case! I'll draw more regarding Ark, Core and Oliga in the form of a full Team Legacy image later on.
